The SHUSH Charitable Supper Club is a luncheon and supper club of local business people and neighbors that sponsors a series of food and wine themed events in Downtown St. Louis. Events sponsored by SHUSH range from private business luncheons to charitable fundraising dinners to wine tasting network events to contests such as poker, chili cook-offs and hot dog cook-offs to pub crawls.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SHUSH CHARITABLE SUPPER CLUB?
The SHUSH Charitable Supper Club was organized to raise awareness for charitable organizations. Each SHUSH sponsored event is paired with a charitable organization. The event starts with a brief description of the charitable organization, its missions and its current needs and challenges. While SHUSH has a serious component, it is primarily about meeting new people and relaxing with old friends over comfort food and a glass of wine. SHUSH will show you just how easy it is to find local produce and meats and to create healthy home-cooked meals. Following each event, the recipes from the meals are published on the SHUSH website.

WHO ARE THE EVENT CHEFS?
The SHUSH Charitable Supper Club features food prepared by professional chefs, chefs in training, foodies, food and wine authors and bloggers, and club members. Mostly, the event chefs are simply people who like to cook meals for their friends and family.

WHERE IS THE SHUSH CHARITABLE SUPPER CLUB LOCATED?
The SHUSH Charitable Supper Club has no fixed address - except that its events are typically held in Downtown St. Louis. Events rotate between private residences, public spaces and architecturally unique locations.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SHUSH CHARITABLE SUPPER CLUB?
The SHUSH Charitable Supper Club is a private club. SHUSH membership is by invitation only. However, the general public can subscribe to our event list and can register as a standby guest for the event. The annual cost for membership is $20 per year.

OTHER INFORMATION
The SHUSH Charitable Supper Club is a private club. Except for public events where a liquor license is obtained, no alcohol may be purchased at our events. Club members are encouraged to bring 1 bottle of wine to each event to be shared by the other club members. Each event includes a suggested member contribution which is used to cover the costs of the event and a small donation to the charitable organization designated as the beneficiary of the event.
